Master Jaewon Park
At the young age of 3, Master Park began his training in Taekwondo under Grand Master Yoonkak Kim, who was a US National Team coach for the 15th World Taekwondo Championships in 2001 and a Korean National Sparring Champion from 1972-1976. During Master Park's first yellow belt test as a student, he recalls struggling multiple times to break his wooden board with a hammer fist. This experience helped him to start learning important life skills such as perseverance, grit, and to never give up.
Since then, Master Park kept training throughout his childhood and even while attending Rutgers & Yonsei University. He also actively competed in various tournaments in the U.S. as well as South Korea. In 2008, Master Park began instructing students at the Woodside, NY location. In 2010, he was promoted to lead instructor at the Manhattan location and went on to become a master.
Master Park is the head master and owner Edison location and has been dedicating his time to coaching and teaching. He has coached in both state and national level champions with United Taekwondo. The Edison location has won awards such as "Best School in NJ” from 2013-2018 and a 7 foot trophy at the Presidents Cup in 2015 with its Demonstration Team. Through his experience and dedication to his students, Master Park continuously strives to become a leading example for his students and challenges them everyday to their maximum potential.
